After you have joined a paid to click program you need to create a downline. A Downline help you increase your earnings in different ways. As a free member you earn from your referrals. A referral is a person who has joined under your referral link. That is, you have a speicial link to promote and when someone join YOU they will show up as YOUR referral in Your Downline. The more members you have referrerd the more money you make.
So, how do you get a downline? Simply through promote your referral links to others. There are several options for you to use. I use Text Ad Exchanges and Traffic Exchanges and my Blog. It is vital that You let others know what you are promoting, and who YOU are. People do not do business with unknown people.

Text Ad Exchanges let you send solo ad´s to their members. That is, You create an AD and then this Ad will be sent to the member data base within this text ad exchange. They let you post text ad´s daily, weekly or monthly and you can do this for free.
Traffic Exchanges are used for surfing. That is You join a Traffic Exchange and ad your url´s so it will be shown to other members of that secific traffic exchange. The key in promoting with a traffic exchange is not stop surfing and ad credits to your url´s. Sooner or Later someone is going to join up to Your what You are promoting.
Another way of promotion is to use a social network site´s. And there is a certain ning site created for this purpose. Here is PTC Peeps.
Facebook and Twitter are also useful social site´s as almost everyone is on there.
